Journal of Heterodox Economics

Faculty of Economics and Business Administration
West University of Timisoara
16A Pestalozzi Street, Room 201

In a world dominated by uncertainty, there are more questions than answers and daily challenges for economic science. Frequently, the conventional wisdom fails to provide adequate guidance and useful tools for facing such challenges. The Journal of Heterodox Economics seeks to promote a fresh view and to provide an active forum for discussing new critical ideas. It supports both theoretical and empirical approaches that bring a better understanding of the economy as a social process. The economic science should contribute in fulfilling the human needs and in serving communities. Thus, papers that raise new problems or suggest new solutions for old ones in an innovative way aiming to stimulate new research are welcomed. In the mean time, the Journal emphasizes the need of interdisciplinary approaches based on a broad spectrum of knowledge from various fields of social sciences.

The Journal of Heterodox Economics
covers areas such as:
  • Quantitative Methods for Economics;
  • Health, Education, and Welfare;
